There are many aspects to church life that you may be interested in. See some below:
The Bright Hour was started more than 40 years ago. It has faithfully served many generations in bringing the Word of God to many. We warmly welcome you to join with us every Wednesday.
The Hub began its life as a coffee morning and has progressed to its present form within the past two years.
It is open every Tuesday morning from 10:00am – 12 noon and is held in the minor hall of the church, with access through the side door.
There are various computers, all with internet access, which are available, free of charge. All that is necessary is that you book in ahead of time to make sure that a computer is free for your use. If you require help or instruction on the use of the computers, there are competent people to help.
A computer is vital for job search with new legislation that has come into effect recently, and to this end advisors from the local job centres call in, and current vacancies within the Sandwell area are regularly updated.
Free tea, coffee and refreshments are served all morning and there are also opportunities to sit and chat in the café style environment and relaxed atmosphere.
For all pre-school children.
Make friends and enjoy a time of play, crafts, singing and other activities.
Friday mornings 9am-11am during term times.
Come along to our mid-week club. Ignition is action packed with songs, stories, crafts and games. We learn how to know God and each other in a safe and friendly environment. You'll make new friends and have lots of fun. Occasionally we have special guest visitors and trips out too.
We are always pleased to see new faces! Bring your parents to our registration desk, where we can take a few details.
Hope Youth is a youth club for all secondary school aged children: A perfect place to make friends, have fun, and be inspired.
As a team, we are reaching out into the community building strong relationships and sharing the Good News. As a youth, we gather for games and sports on a Monday night at 7:00pm, spending time together, enjoying free refreshments, making new friends, before gathering around a short message about Jesus. Following this, we open tuck and finish with more games and activities, closing at 8:30pm.
Junior church runs during the Sunday morning service at Hope Church alongside the preaching. The children leave the main hall after worship and communion for their own special time of learning.
The children are split into smaller groups and all look at the same theme using age appropriate materials and activities. Many of the themes look at their relationship with Jesus and how they can live the life that God wants them to lead.
During the year there is a special prize giving service where all of the children who regularly attend will receive a prize.
Here at Hope Church we think that children and young people are very special. We recognise that they are our future, but that they are also part of the church of today and can be included in all aspects of church life. We have a range of activities to suit all ages from birth to teens and see this as a chance for them to 'Aim High and Achieve' great things in God. We regularly include times where the whole family can enjoy being together.
We are fortunate at Hope Church to have dedicated, enthusiastic teams of workers under the leadership of Michelle Walker. Michelle has grown up in this church so knows the area and many of the families very well. She also leads a team that go into a number of the local primary schools, so your child may already have met her! She is fun and creative and has a passion for working with the children and seeing them develop into all that God wants them to be! She has completed a Diploma in Children's Evangelism and Nurture and also heads up the Safeguarding at Hope Church.
